The low-lit dining room at Porte Jaune

Aromas of the World

The yellow door at D'Avenue. Ghanaian soups beside dishes from further afield, cooked to be eaten slowly.

The story

A door, and what's behind it.

Porte Jaune means the yellow door — the way in to one long, low-lit room inside D'Avenue. The kitchen cooks in two directions at once: the soups and stews of Ghana, and the dishes it has picked up from everywhere else.

Breakfast is quiet and early. Lunch is unhurried. Dinner is the reason people book the room upstairs. Across 10 courses, the menu reads as a journey rather than a list.
